LADIES INVITATIONAL DONATES $12K IN COMMUNITY

The Fairfield Glade Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament committee presented $12,600 to four community nonprofits on August 26, 2024, in the Art Circle Public Library Children’s Reading Room.

Representatives accepting on behalf of the agencies were Denise Melton with House of Hope; Emalee Breeding and Michael Brady with Cumberland County Schools Family Resource Center; Nancy Luckett with Support the Arts (STARTS); and James Houston with Cumberland County Imagination Library.

“The funds, raised during the tournament’s annual reception, will support the charities’ ongoing local projects and programs. Everyone agreed that the support would make a real difference to the children of Cumberland County”, stated Committee Chair Cathy Tipton.

The funds were raised from the 50th Annual Golf Tournament held on July 13-14, 2024. Tipton said the tournament was a great success, with 202 players participating from 14 states.

Shown in the picture from left to right are Cathy Tipton, Denise Melton, Emalee Breeding, Michael Brady, Nancy Luckett and James Houston.
