PRESS RELEASE: Ladies Invitational Donates to Local Charities

Members of the 47th Annual Fairfield Glade Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament committee met Monday, August 23 in the Art Circle Public Library Children’s Reading Room to present a total of $12,900 to Denise Melton, House of Hope; Tammy Stewart, Imagination Library; and Lisa Phillips, Cumberland County Schools Family Resource Center.

The funds, raised during the tournament’s July 9th opening reception, will support the charities’ ongoing local projects and programs, and the ladies all agreed that the funds will make a real difference to the children of Cumberland County.  Thank you to Library Director, James Houston, for being our photographer.

The annual Fairfield Glade Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament, held Saturday, July 10 and Sunday, July 11, 2021, was a great success, with 224 players participating from 13 states.  The Tournament Committee is very appreciative of the many local businesses that sponsored this event, as well as the expert guidance and support of the professional golf staff at Heatherhurst Golf Club.  In addition, no tournament is successful without the many committee members who work tirelessly to make things run smoothly, as well as all of the volunteers and course staff in the clubhouse and on the course.  Thank you and see you next year!

Save the Date 2022

See you next year Saturday, July 9th and Sunday, July 10th, 2022!

Message from our Pro Staff

We would like to welcome all the players to the 47th Annual Fairfield Glade Ladies Invitational.  Whether you have played in the event many times, or if this is your first year, we want to make your weekend memorable.  We wanted to pass along a few important details.

We will be giving all players a 30% off discount in the pro shops during your time with us.  Please tell the point of sale person you are playing in the Ladies Invitational before your purchase.  Unfortunately, some Ping items are excluded from the 30% off.

The Friday night reception will be at The Center located at 128 Stonehenge Drive starts with registration at 4:30.  The main event room will open at 5:00 p.m. and food will start being served at 5:30.  Announcements will start at 6:20 and the event will end at 7:30 p.m.

We will have plenty of bottled water available and water and ice available at the clubhouse, golf course restrooms and with our ranger staff.

Breakfast will be available before play each day and we will be serving lunch on the Heatherhurst veranda after play while we do the scoring.

Driving range will open each morning by 6:30. Play will start on both courses with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.

We want to thank our Ladies Invitational Committee for the wonderful work they have put in to make all three days a remarkable event.

Your first round pairings, course handicaps, first day course and hole you will be starting on are posted on the Fairfield Glade website tournament page:

We will go over the rules sheet before play starts on Saturday morning.

Please be careful in your travels to our beautiful community and the professional staff looks forward to meeting everyone.

Flights and Tee Times for Saturday 7/10

We are just days away from the 47th Annual Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament at Fairfield Glade, TN.

This year we will proudly host ladies from 11 states for a fabulous weekend of fun, camaraderie, and of course golf on our top-rated courses.  This year's tournament supports charities Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides a new, age-appropriate, hardcover book each month to children from birth to age five in Cumberland County; House of Hope, which provides services for drug endangered, abused and at-risk children in Cumberland County; and Cumberland County Schools Family Resources, which assists school children with food, school supplies, clothing and other products to make it easier for children to attend school on a regular basis.

Pairings for Saturday:  Our golf pros have published pairings and flights for the first round of golf on Saturday on the Golf page of the Fairfield Glade website.  Some will play the Crag and others the Brae on Saturday, with courses reversed on Sunday.  Pairings for Sunday will be based on Saturday scoring.  Don’t forget to bring your rain gear, as this is a rain or shine event.

See you all on Friday, July 9th as we kick off the event at The Fairfield Glade Center, 128 Stonehenge Drive.    Registration will begin at 4:30 and doors to the reception room open at 5:00.  If you’re unable to check in Friday we’ll also have check-in Saturday morning from 6:30 to 7:30 at Heatherhurst.

Breakfast Saturday 7/10 and Sunday 7/11

Local Players, we’re hoping you can bring prepared food or help with serving breakfast for tournament players on Saturday or Sunday.  Your breakfast donations help keep the cost of the tournament down so we can maximize proceeds going to our charities House of Hope, Imagination Library, and Cumberland County Schools Family Resources.

We need prepared casseroles, unshelled hard boiled eggs, muffins, and coffee cake.   Food should be at the course by 6:00am, in disposable trays.

We also need help with serving both days.

If you have friends or family who might be interested we’d welcome their help.

You can sign up at  Breakfast Signup.  Signup sheets are also at the ladies’ rooms in each of the Fairfield Glade golf course clubhouses.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Tournament!
